Venue & Hospitality — 22–28%
Includes room blocks, food & beverage minimums, function space rentals, security, and concierge buyouts. In a destination wedding this is typically the largest single line.
For reference, a 200-room block at a top palace property in Udaipur for three nights in peak season is currently ₹2.4–3.6 crore in F&B and rooms alone. That is before a single flower is hung.
Food & Beverage — 18–22%
Across welcome, mehndi, sangeet, pheras and reception. Premium menus in India in 2026 are running ₹4,500–₹9,000 per cover per meal at five-star properties, with bar packages from ₹2,500 per person per evening.
Decor, Florals & Production — 16–22%
This is where luxury truly shows. Hand-knotted carpets, imported florals (Dutch garden roses, hydrangea, peonies), custom mandap fabrication, 8K projection mapping, and full event lighting design fall into this line. Expect ₹40 lakh – ₹2 crore depending on scale and design ambition.

Attire — 5–8%

Beauty, Wellness & Pre-wedding — 3–5%
Hair and makeup teams, mehndi artists, in-house spa for guests, pre-wedding shoots in two locations.
Planning, Design & Coordination — 6–9%
A serious luxury planner charges between 8% and 12% of total wedding investment as a planning fee, or a flat ₹35–80 lakh for a large destination production.
Contingency — 5–8%
Reserved, not optional. Weather backups, last-minute guest additions, gift bags, replacement vendors. A luxury planner who doesn't push you to hold contingency is not protecting you.
What's actually changed in 2026
Three structural shifts have changed what luxury costs this year:
- Five-star room rates are up 22% year on year. Property buyouts that quoted ₹3.5 crore in 2023 now quote ₹4.5–5 crore.
